The Volvo Group International Graduate Program gives you a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and to kick-start your career through international assignments, work in different parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the program, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited.


The program runs for 12 months and includes a combination of common and individual graduate activities and day-to-day work. It consists of three weeks of common development activities at different locations globally, where the participants meet and network. The program also includes learning activities in your home organization and an international assignment.

**Eligible applicants must be recent (2016/2017) or expectant (May 2018) graduate. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role; therefore, current US work authorization is required.**


**Position Title:** Sourcing Analyst


**Mission/Purpose of the Position**

This position will analyze certain amounts of data that will provide direction Volvo to make the correct long term decisions in terms of sourcing for the future products and projects.


**Scope & Influence**

Purchased parts contribute a major portion on the final cost of our trucks. Purchasing's role is crucial to make sure that all cost factors from the supply chain are controlled in an effective manner in order to allow Volvo to remain competitive at all times.


**Essential Functions**


+ Evaluate risks of supply base and prepare scenarios on business allocation and awards

+ Conduct market intelligence on supply base evolution of our competitors

+ Bring to purchasing new technologies that can be integrated into our product portfolio

+ Track performance of organizations spend and costs

+ Identify cost improvement opportunities via resourcing or redesign

+ Optimize lead times and improve delivery precision of the supply base

+ Develop tools to better predict risks and track improvement areas

+ Develop relationships with buyers and management

+ Develop and establish relationships with other stakeholders within Volvo

+ Other duties as assigned by Management.

**Education, Skills, and Experience:**


+ Strong preference for Master's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Project Management or similar concentration.

+ Strong problem solving, research and analytical skills.

+ Ability to perform calculations or to feed systems that calculate or simulate based upon retrieved date, and to analyze and draw conclusions based upon the calculations.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively within a multi-cultural and international environment.

+ Ability to compile and present findings and possible recommendations to a diverse audience.

+ Ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships.

+ Excellent computer skills, (Microsoft Office applications).


**Required Travel:**

Up to 40%
